El Cazador de la Bruja ep 2

Their oh-so-fortunate travelling south ends with them stranded in the desert. The beginning of the episode is all about Ellis = Aspergers R Us, but she is so darn cute…

Ellis spots Eyes Only (Dark Angel ref) what Nadi fails to see with binoculars, so they go to a mysterious Diner in The Middle of the Desert. Instead of being attacked by some psychopath, they are dismissed by a grouchy Mamma. She gives Nadi the Eye, recognising some Signs of Identification in Nadi’s cape, but before she can finish the “Are you…?” question, Ellis’s stomach growls, interrupting what could have very well been the beginning of sex negociations some mysterious scene.

Well, the Still Grouchy Mamma offers Ellis, and Ellis only, food. Her problem with Nadi, and the signs she was seeing, were all about bounty hunters (boo! disappointing, Bee Train, where is your subtext?)

Before they can negociate nourishment, Nadi destroys some random thingy by mistake. And, logically, the girl who destroys stuff by accident should pay that off by working, not cash. Then again… OMFG! Nadi as a maid waitress! My eyes… my eyes…

Some horribly double standard scenes later, when Nadi(e?) and Ellis are both full and happy, Nadi goes out to burn a mountain (really) of trash, leaving Ellis alone. Ellis, being Ellis, tells the truth when asked by a random biker guy. Ellis, being Ellis, is so odd that I suspect it won’t matter much that she is saying the truth.

kawaii!Ellis

On the other side, Frida the Mamma leaves so the biker guy can tell what’s up. The bottom line is that Frida is a retired bounty hunter whose daughter left her for being what she is. Oh well, it wouldn’t be Bee Train without drama at absolutely every opportunity. Now the question is, will Frida be redeemed or die by the end of this episode? Or both? :D Heh, if this were Noir, we’d know that for sure.

More Villain(s) scenes, and we find out that now that the Bad Guy is interested in Ellis’s unique speach patterns (I did mention Aspberger’s, right?) some random femmy guy is trailing them closely enough to hear Ellis speak. He also whispers her name in a most disconcerting manner. Nothing original here. Is this why this part is still boring?

Biker Guy repairs the Jeep so now they can take off again. But before that, Nadi calls her employer/boss, a chick by the name of Blue Eyes (awww). In an interesting twist, Blue Eyes works for the Bad Organisation.

They are also trailed by the Tall Guy with Loli, btw. Though the scene where they actually meet by the telephone booths has Tall Guy react at either Nadi’s crimson on the cape (which, after the diner scene, could be taken as the bounty hunter mark) or the gun she is carrying. So it’s not entirely clear what the Tall Guy knows, or, I suppose, even that his intention is to follow them. It’s hard to take it as a coincidence, but I don’t remember any proof in the first episode either.

In an Amazing Turn of Events, Nadi finds Frida’s daughter who decides to visit formerly murderous mommy just as the Bad Guys are driving to the diner. They set the bike on fire, which makes Ellis go all hot and bothered.

Let’s just not mention the Orgasmic Synchro Breathing scene.
Wait.. I just did… Anyway, the creepyness of that was through the roof.

Ellis broken doll lookEllis fire orgasm

Fact is, Creepy Femmy Guy (who shares the creepy connection with Ellis) is not working with the bounty hunters kidnapping “his Ellis” (Nadi’s Ellis, thankyouverymuch). This says nothing about his connection to the Bad Guys though. Apparently various factions in the Bad(?) Organisation have different agendas, all centered on Project Leviathan.

The one to run to Ellis’s rescue is Frida. Cue Bee Train Eye Pan, how we’ve missed ya… Well, no, not really. She shoots the Bad Guy, but Nadi steps in, taking the gun before her daughter sees anything.

There are some.. creative angles in this, with the image flipped in various ways. Interesting, as long as they don’t make a habit of it.

90% happy ending: Frida is back with her daughter, the bad guy is dead, Nadi and Ellis drive off into the sunset with Creepy Guy staring after them.

Next episode Nadi and Ellis play with cuffs. And was that Nadi sucking on Ellis’s finger? Next week can’t come soon enough.

The true power of your car does not rely solely on how far it could go. It is not always about the horse power, the gas mileage, and even the exterior design….
