I’ve been on Will’s blog for a while, but I wanted to start my own for 2 reasons:
1. Write in Romanian too. I’ve seen a grand total of 2 Romanian bloggers so far (plus 3 guys that post reviews) so we thought we could give it a try. More about how this bilingual thing is supposed to work out here.
2. Post on my other interests as well. Yuri, yuri, yuri. I’m a yuri fanboy. Willuknight’s blog deserves better than that… I mean, fanfiction (other people’s), Avatar TLA, maybe comics. Yeah.
I’ve been an anime fan for 16 years or so. Till about 7 years ago I’ve watched whatever was available on European TV which means I’ve seen some pretty obscure titles, especially from the 80s. I think the older series I’ve seen is Attack No 1. from 1970. So I know a thing or two about cheap animation and lack of eyecandy. ;)
This being said, there are some things I that make me dislike an anime other might like:
1. lame characters
2. lack of plot OR laughable attempts at it
Therefore…
3a. all that severely unoriginal shoujo romance manga (see 1 and 2)
3b. harems (ditto)
Fanservice only irritates me if conditions 1 and/or 2 are present.
Unless it’s about
4. lolicon
5. maids - meido, for the purists (especially if part of 3b)
Still, I like Shakugan no Shana (4, 5, no 1-3).
I’m a yuri fanboy. Actually half-fanboy (I have my standards. XD). Since a half-vampire is a dhampir, I am a dhanboy. Uh, yeah.

Mai HiME, Natsuki, Shizuru, Shiznat.
